Cassia

Cassia is the bark taken from the trunk of the cinnamon tree, scientifically known as Cinnamomum. Cassia has a very characteristic aroma from the compound Cinnamaldehyde.

Cassia, also known as single cinnamon, is derived from the Cinnamomum cassia tree in Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.

We currently offer the following types of cassia products:

Stick Cassia
  • Humidity: Maximum 13%
  • Additives: Maximum 0.5%
  • 35 – 45cm or more in length: 90%
  • Color: Red gold
  • No mold, no dust

Tube Cassia
  • Appearance: Dry, clean, not rough or fungus
  • Humidity: Maximum 12%
  • Color: Light brown
  • Additives: Maximum 1.0%
  • Thickness:
    Type A: 2.5mm or more;
    Type B: 1.5 -2.4mm;
    Type C: 0.8 – 1.4mm
  • Spicy: High
  • Volatile oil: 1.0% per min
  • Length: 30 – 45cm
  • Packing: Carton box or sack.
